为学生创造学习环境——9学年第一学期英语教学工作总结Asthefirstsemesterofthe9thacademicyearcomestoanenditstimetoreflectontheEnglishteachingworkcarriedoutduringthisperiod.Theprimarygoalofanyeducationalinstitutionistocreateaconducivelearningenvironmentforstudents.Thistextsummarizesthesuccessfulattemptsmadeinthisdirection.FirstlytheEnglishdepartmentputineffortstoupdatetheirteachingstrategiesandexpandedtheirresources.Englishbeinganinternationallanguageisanecessityforstudentsbothlocallyandinternationally.Thusitiscrucialtoexposethemtoitfrequently.ThissemestervariousEnglishteachingtechnologieswereadoptedtoenhancethequalityofteachingforexamplee-learningflipclassroomsandgamification.AdditionallythedepartmentincreaseditsresourcesbyinvestinginmoreEnglishbooksandengaginginonlineinteractiveteachingplatformslikeDuolingo.SecondlytheEnglishdepartmentaimedatcreatingastudent-centeredlearningatmosphere.Theydidthisbypromotinginteractivediscourseintheclassroom.Theteacher-studentrelationshipwasmodifiedtoprovideamorerelaxedatmospherewhichallowedstudentstoinitiateconversationswiththeirtutors.Thisapproachencouragedthemtosharetheirthoughtsmakecontributionsandaskandanswerquestionsinteractively.Alsocollaborativelearningwasencouragedandstudentswereplacedingroupstoworktogetherindevelopingtheirlanguageskills.Throughthisstudentsoftenlearnfromtheircounterpartsandtheexperienceofworkingwithotherstohelpsthemtodeveloptheirsocialskills.ThirdlyourEnglishdepartmentcreatedprogramsthatexposedstudentstoreal-lifeEnglishoutoftheirclassroom.ToputincontextstudentsparticipatedinEnglishproficiencycontestsandcamps.Theseout-of-classroominitiativesenabledstudentstomeetwithlike-mindedpeersfromotherinstitutionswheretheycanexchangetheirideasandknowledgebroadentheirhorizonsandimprovetheirlanguageskills.InconclusiontheEnglishteachingteamunderstandsthatcreatingafavorablelearningenvironmentforstudentsiskeytoachievingacademicexcellence.Thereforethedepartmentfocuseditseffortstowardsupdatingtheirteachingmethodscreatingalearner-centeredatmosphereandprovidingout-of-classroomopportunitiesforstudents.Bydoingthisthedepartmentdemonstrateditscommitmenttoprovidingstudentswithqualitytrainingtoimprovetheiroverallskillssetandknowledgetherebybringingreal-worldliteracyintotheclassroom.Throughthisstudentswillbeadequatelyequippedtotacklethechallengesofthe21stcentury.第PAGE页共NUMPAGES页。
