从父亲节英文版演讲稿中揭示父爱的真谛Possiblespeech:HonorableguestsfellowfathersandeveryonegatheredheretodayitisagreatpleasureandprivilegetospeaktoyouonthisoccasionofFathersDay.Aswecelebrateourfathersandfatherhoodwealsoreflectonwhatitmeanstobeafatherandwhatfatherlyloveentails.Whetheryouareabiologicalfatheranadoptivefatherastepfatheragrandpaanuncleamentororjustacaringmanyouhaveavitalroletoplayinshapingthelivesofchildrenandtheirfuture.FathersDayoriginatedinAmericamorethanacenturyagointheaftermathoftheCivilWarandthedeathofthousandsofsoldiersandfathers.AwomannamedSonoraSmartDoddinspiredbythenotionofMothersDayproposedtohonorfathersaswellfortheirsacrificesandcontributionstotheirfamiliesandcommunities.Herownfatherafarmerandawidowerraisedsixchildrenalonewithloveanddevotionandshewantedtoacknowledgetheimportanceofsucharolemodel.SincethenFathersDayhasspreadaroundtheworldasasymbolofgratituderespectandappreciationforfathers.ButwhatisitaboutfathersthatmakesthemspecialWhatdistinguishesfatherlylovefrommotherlyloveoranyotherkindofloveIsthereauniversalessenceoffatherhoodthattranscendscultureracegenderortimeIbelievethereisandthatwecandiscernitfromthemanystoriesandexamplesoffathersthatweencounterinlifeliteraturehistoryandreligion.Allowmetosharewithyousomeaspectsoffatherlylovethatmayinspireusall.Firstofallfatherlyloveinvolvesresponsibility.Asafatheryouareentrustedwiththecareandguidanceofanotherhumanbeingwhodependsonyouforsurvivalgrowthandeducation.Youarenotjustaproviderofmoneyorgoodsbutaproviderofmeaningvaluesandpurpose.Youhavetobethereforyourchildtolistentosharetodisciplinetopraisetoapologizetoforgiveandtomodelthebehavioryouwishtoseeinthem.Youhavetobalanceyourowninterestsandneedswiththeirsandmakesacrificesfortheirsake.Youhavetofostertheirtalentsandinterestsandencouragetheircuriosityandcreativity.Youhavetobearolemodelofhonestyintegrityempathycourageandwisdom.Secondlyfatherlyloveinvolvespresence.Youcannotfulfillyourroleasafatherbyremotecontrolbyemailorbyoccasionalvisits.Youhavetobepresentinyourchildslifephysicallyemotionallymentallyandspiritually.Youhavetobetherewhentheyarebornwhentheyaresickwhentheyarehappywhentheyaresadwhentheyarestrugglingandwhentheyaresucceeding.Youhavetobetheretoprovidethemwithasenseofsecurityofbelongingofidentityandoflove.Youhavetosharewiththemyourownexperiencesyourownvaluesyourowncultureandyourowndreams.Youhavetoparticipateintheireducationtheirhobbiestheirgamestheircelebrationsandtheirchallenges.Youhavetocreatememorieswiththemandcherishthem.Thirdlyfatherlyloveinvolvesloveitself.Youcannotbeafatherwithoutlovingyourchildandexpressingthatloveinwordsandindeeds.Youhavetotellyourchildthatyoulovethemthatyouareproudofthemthatyoubelieveinthemandthatyouwillalwaysbethereforthem.Youhavetoshowyourchildthatyoulovethembyhuggingthembykissingthembyplayingwiththembysingingtothembydancingwiththembycookingforthembyteachingthembyhelpingthembydefendingthemandbyrespectingthem.Youhavetoembodyloveitselfasifyourchildisamanifestationofthedivineandyouareachannelofgrace.Finallyfatherlyloveinvolvestranscendence.Asyouloveyourchildyoubecomesomeonewhotranscendsyourselfyouregoyourfearsyourdoubtsandyourlimitations.Youbecomeafatherwhoreachesouttothefuturewhoinvestsinthelegacyofhumanitywhoshapesthedestinyoftheworld.Youbecomeafatherwhotranscendsyourbiologicalroleandembracesallchildrenasyourownasmembersofaglobalfamily.Youbecomeafatherwhotranscendsyourownmortalityandleavesalastingimpactonyourchildandontheworld.Youbecomeafatherwhotranscendstheboundariesofloveandembracesallbeingswithcompassionandgratitude.Mydearfriendsthesearesomeofthedimensionsoffatherlylovethatwecangleanfromthestoriesandexamplesoffathers.Theyarenotexhaustiveordefinitivebuttheymayinspireustoreflectonourownroleasfathersandtoappreciatethefathersinourlives.LetuscelebrateFathersDaynotasamereoccasionforsentimentalityormarketingbutasaprofoundrecognitionofthegraceandchallengeoffatherhood.Letushonorthefatherswhohavegonebeforeusandpavedthewayforustobebetterfathers.Letussupportthefatherswhoarestrugglingandhelpthemtofulfilltheirpotential.Letusthankthefatherswhohaveinfluencedusandshowthemourgratitude.Andletuscommitourselvestobebetterfathersandtoupholdthehighestidealsoffatherlylove.Thankyouforlistening.第PAGE页共NUMPAGES页。
