When OnedayWhere inYorkshireat Mrs Tompkins homeWhoMrsTompkin,Mrs DoddsIWhat I was askedtocuta budgiesbeak butI bundthe budgiewasdead.How Idecided tobuy hera newbudgie.
和我友好地聊着天……【修|]6]“Of courseyou do’T repliedpatiently/zbut hecertainly needsattentionnow//“你当然喜欢,〃我耐心地回答,“但他现在肯定需要照顾〃[例7]I openedthecagedoor andslowlyinsertedmy hand.
10]Chattingwith mefriendlysheledme into the crampedlittle room,andsaidtozthe oldwoman ina corner,Heres MrHerriot comingto seePeter foryou.”
他嘀咕道她怎么敢!〃2“How dareshe!he.. Paragraph1:Suddenly itoccurred tome thatI couldbuy hera newbird in the nearbystore.MrsDodds alsothought itwasagood ideaand evensuggested onein thetown.lcalmeddown,clearedmy throat,andinformedMrs TompkinthatIwas goingto takePeteralong tothe surgerytodothe job.llefther stillnoddingand smilingand,cage inhand,fled intothe street.I soonfound theshop andluckily therewasagreen budgieinthe shop.With thebird in the cagejspedbackandhungit inits placeby thewindow.zzlthink youllfind everythingis wellnow/l toldMrsTompkin.Paragraph2:It wasa longtime beforeI daredto goback toMrsTompkinstoseehow shegotalong withthe newbird.The oldlady herselfcame tothedoor//How...,,lstammered//How is...er...,,Shepeered atmeclosely fora momentandthen laughed.zzOh,you meanPeter.He isjust grand.Come inand seehim/ln thelittleroom thecage wasstill hungbythewindow andPeter theSecondhopped aroundthebarsof thecage,running upand downhisladder.His mistressreachedup,tappedthemetal andlookedlovingly athim.zzYou know,you wouldntbelieve it/she said/Hes likeadifferent bird/l swallowed.Is thatso Inwhat wayWell,hes soactive nowandevenchattersto meall daylong. Steve wasthe mostamazing personin allof Minneapolis,and hewas mycousin.Bythe ageof
