笔记格式笔记whyProfessor:I need to goover the outline foryour term paper.笔记outline term paperProfessor:Well, you havea goodtopic andlots ofinteresting Railroadwas NOTeither undergroundor arailroad.Slaves escapingalongthe Underground Railroad sometimestraveled hiddenin aboat ora wagon, but theymostlytraveled onfoot. They generallytraveled atnight, when it was safeto move, andhid duringthe day. This escape route wascalled arailroad because it wasa methodofhelping slaves to moveand not becauseitinvolved railroadcars movingalong tracks.Itwas describedas beingunderground becauseitwas secret, notbecauseany ofthe travelwasbeneath thesurface ofthe earth.Railroad terminologywas usedto describethe systemfor assistingslaves inescaping.Theterm passengerswas usedto referto the slaves whowere tryingto escape;theconductors werethe peoplewho helpedtheslavesalong theirpath to freedom;stations weresafe houseswhere theslaves couldhide duringtheir
